A Sticky Situation!
To remove gum, or any other sticky-like substance for that matter, from your hair or rugs, generously apply peanut butter around the gum. Work trough with your fingers. Pull out the big chunks with your fingers, then comb (hair) through with a fine-toothed comb. With the rug/carpets, it'll take a little more time and patience, but the oils in the peanut butter will work.
